Independent informational directory — not a government website
Publisher information

Advertising Policy

Advertising is separated from official locator buttons and is never presented as a government search result, custody record, or paid requirement to use an official inmate locator.

Current status

The Phase 7 launch build is in AdSense approval mode. It contains no active Google advertising or analytics account identifier and therefore sends no ad or analytics requests.

Pages excluded from advertising

  • The homepage finder and dynamic finder-result screens
  • Contact, confirmation, privacy-choice, cookie, legal, and error pages
  • 404 pages, navigation-only screens, contact confirmations, and operational utilities
  • Any page that does not meet the publisher’s content and source-disclosure standards

Eligible content after approval

After approval, ads may be enabled only on complete indexable state, county, federal, and editorial guide pages. Ads must be visually labeled, must not cover content, and must not be positioned to appear part of an official agency button or form.

Editorial independence

Advertising does not determine which agencies are listed, how search limitations are described, or whether a locator receives favorable treatment. Official links are selected through the published source methodology.

Consent and user controls

Before Google ads are activated, the publisher must configure the required Google-certified consent management platform and applicable regional privacy messages. Users may review privacy choices and the cookie policy.

Contact and corrections

Use the contact page or outdated-information report. Avoid sending sensitive personal identifiers unless essential to identify the affected public page.
